A Golfer’s Resurrection

 Today defines Rory’s career forever. Does he right the ship overcoming all of the late major debacles against the formidable foe of the PGA tour defect Dechambeau? Or does he tragically fall short again despite having the game to takeover the world of golf. To me it’s good versus evil, tradition vs innovation, finesse vs brute strength. Rory solidifies his place a top the greatest to ever play game today. He channels his inner strength to take over a golf course with grace and reverence envisioned  by Bobby Jones himself. Bryson will play well and Rory will simply play better. After this win, the biggest of Rory’s career he’ll go on a tear similar to Tiger in 2000. I know the game of golf and God himself will have his touch on today’s back 9. It’s time for the pressure to mount and the studs to run. Rory’s a thoroughbred who’s been beaten and battered, but I firmly believe he has the heart of Secretariat and today all that pain, defeat, and struggle only strengthens his will to overcome. It’s Palm Sunday and it just so happens they’re playing the masters on the same day. The spiritual magnitude of today is in the air. Last night was a full moon and I’m sure Rory recounted his nightmares, but this time he’s not alone. His daughter is by his side and he realizes there’s more to life than golf. Only Rory can beat Rory and today he shows that to the world.

I picked up the game bright eyed and bushy tailed as an eleven year old upset with his parents for making him quit football. The past thirteen years of life have been a testament to the virtuous decision they made. L'AMOUR DU JEU

l'amour du jeu Recently I played 18 holes at Lakeside golf course, the local muni my college teammates and I tore up the most during my tenure at Kentucky State. Not luring to some, but to me a round from the parking lot tees with my good friend and former teammate RK was exactly what I was looking for on my first day off in 6. It was my best round of the year thus far, a 72 with the legit eyes and pressure on me. We played the front alongside a random father and son pairing on their way to Gatlinburg for a golf trip and the back with our other former teammate Rhett. The entire experience felt great, meeting new people and making friends on the links has been a pastime of mine for quite some time.
